Rest, We'll Keep Watch Tote Bag: Brown Skinned Sirens, Handprinted onto Cotton Canvas

This is a cotton canvas tote bag, with original artwork by me, Samirah the Sapphic Siren. This bag is created for everyone who envisions and wants to take part in community care and sustainability. 

ABOUT THE ART: I created "REST, We'll Keep Watch" to show what it takes to be able to rest. Rest in isolation can only go so far. Often, rest requires community care. I also created it to show how community and sustainability are linked. This art centers brown skinned sirens, sapphic sirens, and everyone who is "othered" by society. We are otherworldly. 

DETAILS: This is my original painting, hand printed onto a cotton canvas. All printing labor is by me, and the bag itself is sourced from a local artist. I put a lot of care into the color. Due to colorist technology, it is extremely hard to find printers that print brown and dark skin with the vibrance and saturation we deserve, So, I decided to do it myself. It is washable, on the cold setting. Tumble Dry. Do not Iron.
